On April 26, 2019 KGPL will be co-hosting the Spring Legal Malpractice & Professional Liability Roundtable with the University of Miami School of Law Center for Ethics and Public Service. KGPL will be speaking on the following topics:
Whose Money is it: The panel, including KGPL Partner Mark Sullivan, will discuss common sources of civil and ethical exposure arising from fee agreements in general, with an emphasis on funds held in trust, and common misunderstandings about Rule 5-1.1 governing those funds.
Tech and Disaster Planning: This panel, including KGPL Partner Kayla Riera-Gomez, will discuss the ethical and legal pitfalls in natural disaster planning and how it may impact your practice.
